The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ, departed Madina Munawwara with approximately 300 Companions, including both Muhajirin and Ansar, to intercept a caravan led by Abu Sufyan. Upon learning that the caravan had bypassed the Muslims, the Prophet, ﷺ, received news that a large, well-armed force from Makka, led by Abu Jahl, was advancing to confront the Muslims at Badr. The Prophet, ﷺ, consulted his Companions, who affirmed their unwavering loyalty and readiness to defend him and the cause of Islam. Despite the lack of military preparation, the Muslims were granted divine assistance, including rain that firmed the ground and provided water, and the Prophet, ﷺ, was granted knowledge of the unseen regarding the outcome of the impending battle.
