Who We Are

A home for authentic Sunni scholarship

Noor E Nabi is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Chicago, Illinois, established to hold fast to, and spread, the tradition of Sunni Sufi Islam — the path of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah as transmitted by generations of the pious and preserved by the great scholars of the Ummah.

In an age of noise and misinformation, our mission is to keep this tradition living and accessible: rooted in the Qur'an and Sunnah, illuminated by love of the Prophet ﷺ, and guided by the scholarship of Ahl al-Sunnah.

We serve our community through gatherings, teaching, and a growing digital library. Among the initiatives we're developing is Sunni Chat, a study tool grounded in these same trusted sources.

A Sadaqah Jariyah

Founded in love and remembrance

Noor E Nabi was established as a sadaqah jariyah — an ongoing charity — by the late Syed Didar Ali Shah (raḥimahu Llāh). He named it in loving memory of his beloved mother, Noorjaha, and his father, Ansar Nabi — so that every soul who benefits becomes a continuing source of reward for them.

“When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who prays for them.”— Prophet Muhammad ﷺ (Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim)

May Allah ﷻ accept this effort, forgive them, and raise their ranks — and make it a means of guidance and blessing for all who seek knowledge through it. Āmīn.
